It has been an absolute joy taking your courses.Your character is wonderful and I’m grateful for learning your gem of wisdom!
The Vital Knee was my first Bodymaster Method course, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I like the teaching and demonstrations, which helps me absorb & retain the information better. I will definitely be looking to do some more courses.
I have often found it disappointing how little knowledge many physical therapists have regarding other bodily structures and vital organs, that can be
the underlying causative factor in the patient’s presenting symptoms.I am one of those therapists. 😬 But wow! Based on the case studies from the nerve course, I have a better understanding of why the internal organs and their lesions need to be known more thoroughly than in the massage school in 2 years. So, thanks John!
Thank you John..great MET course. I learnt lots from the videos and I have the book too, which I can reference back when required. Thanks to your lovely patient too!
Really enjoyed the Glutes course, very clear and easy to follow and learned a lot. Look forward to doing more courses.
Thankyou, another great course which has given me so much more knowledge and confidence when faced with clients with hip pain!
First of all, thank you for the incredible course I am taking with great joy! I am amazed at how complex sacro-lumbar biomechanics is!
This a great course easy to follow while proving very comprehensive in its nature. I very much like the fact you need to confirm you knowledge before being able to move on to the next lesson.
What can I say apart from brilliant! Very detailed but also laid out to make it easy to cope with various learning styles. I usually have a little trouble with online courses but yours was perfect.
Thank you very much I enjoyed your course a lot, your knowledge was very good and felt I have learnt from the right person
I recently attended an advanced soft tissue therapy masterclass at the prestigious Oxford University under the tutelage of renown Osteopath John Gibbons. The course is designed for all manual therapists such as physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and sports injury therapists to learn advanced myofascial techniques focussing on the area of the lower lumbar spine, specific shoulder problems and neck pain as well as other areas of the body. The course was fantastic, it as paced well and had plenty of hands on practical sessions. I really feel that I can apply these techniques into my repertoire of soft tissue skills so that I may successfully treat more patients with a variety of musculo-skeletal problems.Another bonus of the course was getting to meet therapists from different backgrounds sharing their experiences and skills. On my particular course there was a Osteopath who flew from Brazil to attend. If you have the opportunity to enrol on one of Johns courses I would snap it up as you will not be disappointed.
Thank you John. I really enjoyed the course and I would recommend it. It helped me with my study during the lockdowns and I will be doing more in the future. Thanks again to you and your team.
I really appreciated your course! The layout and information was excellent. It really helped me understand more and fill in some gaps in my knowledge. I’ve already suggested your courses to my co-workers and look forward to taking more in the future.
Another great course – challenging, but very enjoyable and satisfying!
This course has been exceptional, and has actually surpassed the university literature I received. The downloadable PDFs will be a fantastic go-to for years to come. Thank you John.
Another excellent course, John. I particularly enjoy being able to go back over the course work when I need to. Many thanks – looking forward to thePelvis, Sacroiliac Joint & Lumbar Spine course.
” Just wanted to say thanks for the knee and hip courses, really enjoyed the content and delivery. Was straight in on Friday firing with some new stuff for patients. “
” Just a quick note of thanks again for en exceptional days learning – its quite something – I am sure you know but never bad to hear! “
” It was a great day and I feel like I can go out and tape without worrying – thank you. I found it very inspiring the way you pushed us to understand things in a more detailed level. I have a lot to learn but really feel like I want to and that I can, and today has cemented that wish to learn more “
” I attended your Shoulder course in Oxford in July and I would just like to thank you for the knowledge that I gained whilst there. I have used the techniques learnt on several patients with outstanding results, the look on the clients faces when they gain full ROM is very rewarding (to them as much as me) “
” I really wanted you to know that I enjoyed immensely your courses and I’m so glad I attended them. The amount of information you teach is huge so from my point of view it’s money well spent. It’s really great going through the videos now as they help me consolidate what you’ve taught us. You are an incredible teacher.”
” I just wanted to thank you for an inspiring course. Your knowledge was very impressive, and without ego, which is so rare these days. Thank you once again and I will be recommending you to my colleagues.”
” Really enjoyed the Soft Tissue course last week and will definitely be back. Just wanted to let you know I had a guy today who had trouble standing without pain. After questioning him I decided to try the strain/counterstrain as well as some other techniques you taught us and it worked a treat and he walked out a lot more freely and in a lot less pain than when he came in, so thank you. “
” Presumedly, you have come to this page hoping you will find someone who will improve your existing skills, teach you new ones, or make you a greater practitioner than you ever thought possible and so help your own clients out of pain. I mean, that’s the dream isn’t it? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
John Gibbons is a phenomenon on many different levels. Ultimately his knowledge of the subject matter is second to nobody – and I mean nobody. He has published 6 books in a world where you can’t hide.
His title as The Bodymaster is apt as John is much more than an osteopath. I’ve been to osteopaths in the past and many times found them rather glib about their abilities, slightly smug with their ‘million dollar rolls’, and keen to go through the motions with customary techniques with a ‘one fits all’ attitude. That’s not the case with The Bodymaster. In the few days I’ve spent with John, I have heard him give advice regarding osteopathy, physiotherapy, massage, MET, acupuncture – and the list goes as wide as his knowledge allows him (extremely wide). All of which will tell you John is interested in improving the health of his clients and the skills of his students.
I’ve been on a lot of courses – CPD and otherwise but as a tutor, John stands alone. His teaching techniques are varied, it’s deeply theoretical, visual and active with an easy atmosphere. John constantly backtracks to make sure you are following, but makes himself easily approachable if you’re not. The venue in Oxford is perfect, bright and warm. Tea, coffee and Jaffa cakes are on tap. Parking is easy and the B&B’s are on the doorstep, awesome experience! “
” Hi John, I just wanted to say thank you for a brilliant course!
You’re an incredible teacher and definitely your vocation “
” Thanks again for giving me the opportunity in obtaining my diploma. You made the course so interesting and funny I enjoyed it so much, I have been absolutely buzzing since Sunday, it has given me so much more confidence. The course was so well put together, I took so much in and learnt so many techniques my clients are already benefiting. “
” Thank you for an amazing couple of days, I now feel much more confident treating the shoulder and cervical spine. You certainly lived up to your reputation and your teaching and explanations were fab! Thanks again! “
” Hi John, just a very quick thank you for today. A very well delivered course really enjoyed the atmosphere and the subject matter was superbly delivered. Look forward to the next one. “
