Muscle Energy Techniques made simple
A one day course to support Johns’ Muscle Energy Technique book.
You’ll learn how to identify specific soft tissue dysfunction and weakness within the musculo-skeletal system, and to harness powerful Muscle Energy Techniques to restore function to your patients.
Author and Lecturer John Gibbons brings years of expertise and this will be demonstrated during this course. He will teach you the theory of MET and, once that has been understood, he takes you on a muscle energy technique ‘journey’. After demonstrating functional assessment testing for the muscles of ‘posture’ that can become chronically tight and dysfunctional, he shows how to apply a specific MET to correct these dysfunctional muscles to restore normality.
On completion of the course you will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to identify, assess and treat specific dysfunction within the musculo-skeletal framework and perform a variety of Muscle Energy Techniques that will help restore function.
Grab your copy of the Muscle Energy Techniques practical guide!
Course fee also includes the No.1 best seller through Amazon: ‘Muscle Energy Techniques’ a practical guide for the physical therapist, written by the bodymaster himself. The book contains easy to follow ‘postural muscle’ tables that you can use to monitor the progress of your patients.
You will be awarded a certificate at the end of the course.
Is it for You?
The advanced nature of the course content requires you to have a high standard of both theoretical and practical knowledge. The minimum level of your ability, therefore, needs to be Level 3 Sport / Holistic Massage Therapist with ITEC, VTCT, IIST, Premier or similar diploma qualification.
This course is perfect if you are an Osteopath, Chiropractor or a Physiotherapist as the techniques you are taught on the course will compliment your treatments in your clinic. Students studying any aspect of physical therapy are also welcome.
I have attended some of John’s courses including the ankle assessment and the knee assessment. He always shares his top quality information to the max! I’ve learnt more from John’s courses than any other courses that I have attended. Well priced, full of info and well worth your time and money.” – Carol Holland

“I was fortunate enough to have been taught by John Gibbons over 10 years ago and have subsequently attended many of his courses. I have always found him to be knowledgeable, approachable and honest. Muscle Energy Techniques is a unique treatment tool that every therapist has to own. John Gibbons’s unique blend of osteopathic diagnosis/treatment and physical rehabilitation experience justifies the use of muscle energy techniques in the clinical setting.” – Andrew Smith
